Course summary
Queen's University is one of the best places to study Architecture, being rated joint 2nd in the UK in the 2013 National Student Survey for student satisfaction in Architecture. Our students are taught and supported by a diverse, energetic group of staff, informed by their research and practice. We give every student a high degree of personal tuition. Our reputation is such that we are often approached directly by leading employers, specifically seeking our graduates.

UCAS Tariff - Not accepted
A level - AAB
A-level General Studies and Critical Thinking are normally excluded from offers. However, the grade achieved may be taken into account when results are published in August and may be used in a tie-break situation.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Successful completion of RQF BTEC National Extended Diploma (1080 GLH at Level 3) with overall grades D*D*D
Scottish Higher - AAABB
Separate targets are shown for Scottish Highers and Advanced Highers but offers are normally made on the basis of a combination of the two.
Pearson BTEC Extended Diploma (QCF)
Successful completion of QCF BTEC Extended Diploma (180 credits at Level 3) with overall grades D*D*D
Scottish Advanced Higher - AAB
Separate targets are shown for Scottish Highers and Advanced Highers but offers are normally made on the basis of a combination of the two.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 34 points
Successful completion of IBD with 36 points overall including 6,6,5 at Higher Level.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H2, H3, H3, H3, H3, H3
If not offered at Higher Level, grade O4 Maths required.
GCSE Mathematics at grade C or better.
Scottish National 5 Mathematics at grade C or better.
All applicants must have evidence of artistic ability. This requirement is satisfied by grade B or better in GCSE Art. Applicants who do not meet this requirement may be invited to submit a digital art portfolio.
