Course summary

Master human anatomy with full-body dissection, advanced research, and clinical insight in a specialist Anatomy Centre.

Study a specialist MSc in Human Anatomy designed to develop advanced anatomical knowledge through hands-on learning. You’ll carry out full-body dissection using Thiel-embalmed cadavers, gaining a highly realistic understanding of human structure and function.

This postgraduate anatomy degree combines clinical application, research skills, and anatomical science, preparing you for careers in anatomy, medical education, or further academic study.

Assessment method

You’ll learn through a blend of lectures, seminars and hands-on lab sessions, spending significant time developing your practical dissection skills in a modern Anatomy Centre.

You’ll explore regional anatomy alongside its clinical applications, develop your ability to interpret medical imaging, and examine key topics such as ethics and research methods. You’ll also engage with current developments in anatomical science and complete an independent research project.

Entry requirements

A first degree, with honours, in a related subject and at a minimum final classification of lower second (2:2) or equivalent.

If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
