If you are dreaming of performing in the West End, or on tour, you will join thousands working in the performing arts industry in the UK. Jobs as dancers, actors and singers are available across a wide range of settings including: tv, film, regional theatres, theme parks, cruise ships, corporate sectors as well as in schools. Our HND in Performing Arts (acting) will equip you with the skills to become a freelance performance practitioner with a focus on triple threat performing skills. Projects will include taking shows on tour and delivering workshops at venues across Derbyshire. Develop your professional practice and improve your movement, acting and singing skills while learning about creative arts research, workshop leadership and how to create exciting immersive performances.
There may be opportunities to gain experience in the industry within Arts in Education and perform in an Agents Showcase at the end of year 2.
This HND offers a solid foundation in Performer training and looks to employ those skills in other areas of the industry such as the planning, delivery and evaluation of drama workshops, auditioning for work and further study and self promotion.
