To be delivering projects for Hinkley Point C, the biggest construction project in Europe, is something I didn’t expect to be doing at the age of 18!
Isabella Noble
Project Manager (former apprentice)

EDF is driving the transition towards An Electric Britain– a secure, affordable, low-carbon future for everyone. As Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity, we invest more than £100 million weekly in Britain’s electricity infrastructure

We operate five nuclear power stations, which supply about 14% of the UK’s electricity demand; and more than 35 onshore wind farms and three offshore wind farms. EDF has invested almost £8 billion in the nuclear fleet to improve reliability and extend station lifetimes.

EDF is building the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C. We are an investor in and major supplier to a replica plant at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C will provide low carbon electricity to meet 14% of UK demand and power around 12 million homes. It is one of the UK’s leading developers of renewable energy through EDF Power Solutions UK and Ireland. We have more than 2GW of renewable generation in operation and over 10GW in construction, planning and development across a range of technologies including onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery storage. At EDF, Success is Personal and we’re here to support you through your journey. Testimonials

I would 100% recommend an apprenticeship

If you’re looking for an avenue into the sector. It’s a growing industry with lots of opportunities. And an apprenticeship gives you that base knowledge and foothold to help you develop and flourish.

Working together towards the future of energy

The energy industry appealed to me because it’s an industry where my actions matterand I have responsibilities. An apprenticeship with EDF means I’m part of a great team and have the opportunity to gain a fantastic degree as well as work experience.

Everyone at EDF, no matter their job role, are so welcoming

I have really enjoyed meeting new people and finding out how they contribute to the energy future, as well as understanding where my role plays a part.
