Estranged Students Bursary
Scholarship information
You do not need to make a separate application for this bursary but you will need to contact Money Advice and Guidance, who will establish your eligibility with your funding body.
Students who later become estranged whilst studying at the University, can apply to receive the award.
This bursary is for UK Undergraduate students.

Accommodation discount
If you are entitled to the Estranged Students Bursary and will be living in University accommodation, you will also receive an accommodation discount. For entry 2025, this is 10% off your first year University halls fees. Students who receive some other bursaries, such as the Care Leavers bursary, will also be entitled to this discount.
