The XPLOR Your Future Bursary 2026–27
Scholarship information
Purpose
Academy of Live Technology (ALT) is committed to breaking down barriers to education and the live events industry, including those experienced by ethnic minorities. Ethnic minority practitioners are currently under-represented across the creative industries and within ALT as an institution (when comparing to accessible national higher education data sets), and this bursary aims to support and enable ethnic minority students to access our undergraduate degree courses. XPLOR is the Academy’s research department, focusing on the creation of a specialist knowledge and innovation centre for the live events and entertainment industry and its supply chain. The celebration of diversity is at the heart of XPLOR, as we seek to bring together live events and creative industry practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds. This award is designed to support first-year students with their living and learning costs as they make the transition into Higher Education. Full details of the rationale and evaluation of our financial support can be found in our Access and Participation Plan 2025-29
