Purpose
The Production Park Scholarship supports care-experienced students entering undergraduate study at the Academy of Live Technology (ALT). It aims to remove financial barriers and improve access, retention, and success for care leavers in higher education by providing a full tuition fee waiver for up to three years of study.
The Production Park Scholarship is named after the ALT’s parent company and Europe’s only live events and entertainment campus. Production Park advocates the importance of a diverse community in successful live events production and creative practice and has been built upon a strong work ethic and drive to advance the industry. It is in this spirit that this scholarship has been named.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be UK-domiciled full-time undergraduate students at ALT.
- Have Care Leaver Status or Independent Status confirmed by Student Finance England, Wales, or Northern Ireland.
- Come from a low-income or low-participation background.
- Be commencing their first undergraduate degree in 2026–27.
- Not be in receipt of any other ALT financial award.
- Refugees/humanitarian protection holders may apply if resident in the UK for at least one year prior to study (asylum seekers are not eligible).
Conditions
- Scholarship applies as a tuition fee waiver (not cash payment) for up to three years.
- Subject to satisfactory attendance and academic progress.
- Terminated if the student withdraws, transfers, fails, or is expelled.
- Not available for repeat years or suspended study periods.
- ALT may withhold or cancel the award for false information or student debt.
- No retrospective awards or payments.
How to Apply
Eligible students with verified Care Leaver Status are considered by ALT’s Senior Leadership Team. Selection prioritises:
- Length of time in care.
- Financial need.
- Academic merit.
- Applicants must provide official evidence of Care Leaver Status (letter from local authority or social worker) through Student Finance England.
