If you're looking to enhance your career development, then the Career Development Fund can help cover costs such as travel and other funding.

Work Experience Travel Bursary

What do you get?

You will receive financial help with travel costs to events, work-related experiences, and self-found placements that will help with career development:

  • Up to £300 each year for travel within the UK
  • Up to £500 each year for travel abroad.

Please be aware that this bursary is not to be used to cover course-related costs.

Who is this for?

This is available to undergraduate students who:

  • have been in receipt of free school meals
  • have been in care as a care experienced child (care leaver)
  • have declared to the University a disability
  • is from a black or minority ethnic group
  • is currently under the age of 21
  • is from a gypsy and traveller community
  • is a child from a military family
  • term-time address is the same as the permanent home address.
