Refugee Bursary

The Refugee Bursary aims to support students who have one of the following immigration statuses:

Refugee status

• Humanitarian Protection
• Section 67 leave
• Calais leave to remain
• Leave granted under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy or the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme
• Leave granted under the Ukraine schemes (including relevant family members).

The Refugee Bursary is a payment of £1,000 available for undergraduate students with a ‘Home’ fee status who are recognised by the University of Hertfordshire as Refugee students, as confirmed through the Student Immigration Team using students’ immigration statuses. The bursary is available each year of their undergraduate degree. Bursary funds are provided to help with the additional costs associated with studying fulltime including food, travel, bills, and study materials
