Manchester Met University Success Fund
Scholarship information
The Success Fund is a financial support package, introduced in 2025/26, designed to help you succeed at Manchester Met.
The fund is available to full-time and part-time UK undergraduate students starting their course in September 2026. Continuing
eligible students from earlier years will receive the bursary that was in place when they started their course.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
• Be an undergraduate UK student eligible for home fees and enrolled from September 2026.
• Have a household income of £42,875 or less, as verified by your student finance application.
• Demonstrate an evidenced need for support, which will be assessed when you apply.
• You must also belong to at least one key group. A list of key groups can be found on our website: mmu.ac.uk/successfund
How much might I receive?
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive an award of between £200 and £1,500 a year. Most awards will be made at the lower end of the scale. Only those from several target groups are likely to receive the maximum amount. We recognise the unique challenges faced by students who are either care leavers, estranged from their families, or have caring
responsibilities. Eligible students from these groups will be guaranteed a minimum of £1,000 a year.
Applications
You will be able to submit an application from September 2026, once you have fully enrolled. Further guidance on how to
apply and full terms and conditions will be published before September.
