University of ReadingBA Archaeology with Professional Placement YearHi! I am Malika, a final year international student at the University of Reading. I am happy to help a fellow international student with any questions you might have about my university experience Saskia
University of Wales Trinity Saint DavidArchaeology (MPhil leading to PhD)Hi! I'm currently an archaeology PhD student. I have previously completed my MSc and Ba with Uwtsd so I'm currently in my 5th year at the university. I have wanted to be an archaeologist for many years and hope to work as an Environmental archaeologist in the future. My passions outside the classroom include netball, acting and playing saxophone. I love to keep active and cook amazing meals for next to nothing. If anyone ever needs a chat or anything i am always happy to listen, and don't worry i'm easy to find! Just look for the girl with the bright colours and ear cuffs! Because that's me!! Jarom
Bangor UniversityHistory, Archaeology and HeritageI’m from a small seaside town in north Cornwall. I have always enjoyed the academic scene, with my focus being in history and an interest in literature which I did as an A-level along with history and philosophy. My passion for history was cultivated from primary education and I have continued it since. In my spare time I enjoy exercise and socialising with my peers. Abhishek
University of StrathclydeMSc Forensic ScienceHey there! I’m a doctor who spent six incredible years in Ukraine studying medicine. During my medical studies, I found myself completely fascinated by forensic medicine classes, where science meets investigation. That interest slowly grew into a passion for connecting medical and forensic knowledge to do something meaningful, research that can both save lives and help catch culprits (whether that culprit is a disease or a criminal!). Even though I’m not particularly interested in pursuing licensing exams or working in clinical practice, I’ve always been passionate about the subject and staying connected to it and its constant evolution is really important to me, it’s still a big part of who I am; what excites me more is pathbreaking research and discovery. My goal is to become a leading researcher in this field, contributing to work that bridges the gap between medicine and forensics. If you’re curious about studying abroad, or just want to chat about science, or life as a student, feel free to reach out! I’d be more than happy to connect and share my experiences. Leilani
University of South WalesBSc (Hons) Forensic ScienceHey there! I'm Leilani, an international student studying forensic science, and I hope to one day open up a lab back in my home country! I enjoy baking, brownies specifically, listening to music, and meeting new people! I'm half Samoan, and that automatically makes me a sucker for all sorts of sports like football, rugby, and many more! Being an international student can seem scary, but with the helpful community at USW, I have managed to make a home away from home. I understand that moving away from home and making a big change for university is a little daunting, but with a little guidance and help, it'll be a breeze. I'd be happy to help give you this guidance! Theresia Dian Cahya
