University of SuffolkBSc (Hons) Mental Health NursingHey there! I'm Georgia, a second year mental health nursing student from Bury St. Edmunds. I chose to do this course after feeling like I was ready for my next step after absolutely loving my role as a healthcare assistant for the past two years. I am also the student representative for our cohort, which I am really enjoying! I like to keep myself busy and am very work motivated, so outside of studying, you'll probably find me outdoors. Doing something to do with my dog care business that I run alongside my degree. Overall I love helping people and animals however I can - that being said. If you have any questions about mental health nursing, UoS, being a mature student or anything else please do reach out and message me! Kelsey

King's College LondonNursing with Registration as a Mental Health NurseI was born in Spain and moved to London when I was in Year 3. I didn’t speak much English back then, but I’ve always had a passion for helping people, which is what inspired me to study Mental Health Nursing at King’s College London a dream that I’m really enjoying. The people, the teaching, and the whole university experience have been amazing. In the future, I hope to become either a CBT therapist or a clinical psychologist so I can support others in improving their mental health. I know starting university can feel overwhelming, but with the right mindset and support, it’s a fantastic journey. If you’re considering KCL or healthcare studies, I’m happy to share tips and experiences to help you settle in and succeed! Shaun
University of StrathclydeMSc Neuroscience & Mental HealthMy course of Psychology and Philosophy was my first formal study from the core functions, systems and structure of the brain to different viewpoints and perspectives in philosophy to understand the moral and ethical values of life. I consider learning, education and knowledge are key aspects in my life, it doesn’t necessarily lead down a path of academia, but I use everything I learn to inch me that wee bit forward to my goal. I’ve previously got experience in simple catering jobs, retail but I consider myself, first and foremost as swimmer teacher. If I’m strive to become an academic researcher at Strathclyde University.
