University of SuffolkBSc (Hons) Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation ScienceMy passion has always been to help animal's and the environments that they live in. In the future, I hope to work at a conservation park abroad to make a positive impact to their lives and also raise awareness about the struggles that they face. Rosie
University of East Anglia UEAEcology and ConservationI'm an aspiring ecologist studying at UEA. I'm really interested in all things to do with wildlife and the outdoors, so I'm loving studying Ecology and Conservation at uni! Rudie
University of SussexEcology and ConservationI'm a Mature and Neurodivergent Student who didn't have the most conventional education due to a lack of support at school. If you feel like you need advice on the support Sussex offers or if this is the right University for you, I can help. I also organise a variety of surveying and STEM outreach events, both with the School of Life Sciences and the NGO Shelltering Sussex. So, if you want to know what extracurricular activities Sussex has to offer for Life Sciences students, I'm your person. Amy
Bangor UniversityConservationHi, I am currently studying conservation and hope to work in the environment sector focusing on sustainability. I love wildlife and the natural environment so want to protect this for everyone. I've also got a love for animals and have rescued many from donkeys to hens. From a young age I've had a passion for sports, specifically aquatic ones! Megan
Bangor UniversityConservationI’m a Bangor University student studying Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, despite not taking any science A-levels—proof that anything is possible if you follow your passion! My volunteer work at a local Owl sanctuary has sparked a deep interest in birds of prey, especially owls, and I hope to pursue a career in this field. I also manage social media for Greener Gwynedd (a university volunteer group) and volunteer with local wildlife groups, gaining hands-on conservation experience. Outside of uni, I love hiking and exploring the nature around North Wales, listening to music (especially Noah Kahan), reading, and playing video games.
Biology 2026 personal statement guide
Biology admissions tutors say it’s all about genuine passion, enthusiasm, and curiosity. The key to writing a successful biology personal statement is to show you understand what you're applying for, along with some evidence of your enthusiasm, and commitment to the subject.
