Olivia
University of Wales Trinity Saint David
Applied Computing (MSc, PgDip, PgCert)
I've lived abroad for over half my life in Portugal, it was my first language but my parents are English. I then moved to England for personal reasons. So I got hit with lots of cultural differences but managed to adapt quite easily. I then moved to Wales for uni and am enjoying it greatly. Welsh people are lovely and made me feel welcomed and part of their community. So feel free to chat with me if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always happy to have a chat and help others out as I've never lived in Wales before and was completely new to the area.
Orin
University of Wales Trinity Saint David
Computing (Computer Networks and Cybersecurity) (BSc, HND, HNC, Foundation Entry)
Welcome! I’m Orin. I lived in Hong Kong for most of my life before coming to the UK, so I know exactly how daunting (and exciting) it is to study abroad. I’m now in my final year of cybersecurity and networking.
My Interests: When I'm not coding, I'm usually gaming or working on the university's Esports Society, which I am currently relaunching. I’m also a huge petrolhead with a love for cars and robotics.
Ask me about: Finding the best Asian food in town, the transition from College/BTEC to University, or how the university supports students with learning differences like dyslexia. I’m happy to share my tips on making this city feel like home!

Business Technology
Hey! 👋 I’m a second year Digital Business student at Manchester Met👩💻. I chose this course because I love how technology and business work together to solve real problems. So far, it’s been super engaging and practical!
I travel to university by public transport, so I know what it’s like balancing commuting and student life. Manchester felt big at first, but it’s such a welcoming city and there’s always something going on.
Feel free to message me if you’ve got any questions about the course, commuting, or what it’s really like studying here! 😊
