Dawud
King's College London
Chemistry
Hi there! My name is Dawud, and I’m a first-year Chemistry BSc student at King’s College London. Chemistry fascinates me because it’s the science that explains so much of the world we take for granted—why things work, how they’re made, and how they can change.
Beyond academics, I’m exploring potential career paths in intellectual property law, where I hope to combine my passion for science with legal and analytical skills. I also work part-time as an aircraft dispatcher, which has taught me valuable lessons about time management and teamwork.
In my free time, I enjoy diving into books, watercolour painting, and finding ways to balance a busy life of studying and working. If you’re curious about what it’s like to study chemistry, transition to university, or manage part-time work alongside studies, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help!
Dean Nathaniel
Middlesex University
BSc Computer Science
Hi, I'm Dean and I study BSc Computer Science. Ask me any questions around my subject, student life and everything Middlesex!
Truth be told, I was not always planning on working in the tech field! For the better part of two years of my life, I spent those years studying and working towards becoming a Solicitor. In the summer of my final year, my computer broke! I had no choice to fix it for I had my notes on it. I don't really remember much of it now but I just remember the amount of joy and childish fun I used to have playing around with tech. Ultimately it led me here, pursuing a job in the tech market and spending as much time I can learning and messing around with new technologies.

History
Hello! I’m Devin, and I’m currently in my second year of History BA after completing my foundation year at Birkbeck. I came to Uni seven years after struggling to complete my A-levels and had always preciously assumed higher education was an option that was closed off to me. I chose to come to Birkbeck as there are countless students like me who had a “non-traditional” path through education but have not let our experiences hold us back. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Business Management
Hey! I’m Diana, I’m from Warwickshire and currently in my fourth year at Manchester Met.
I took a year out for an internship with BMW, which was such a great way to apply my studies to the real world. I’m also a first-gen uni student, so I know what it’s like navigating everything for the first time!
When I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me at a concert, hanging out with friends, or heading home at Christmas to see our family sausage dog. I was also part of the Equestrian Society, which was an amazing way to meet people and unwind.
If you’ve got any questions about applying, placements, or what life’s really like at Manchester Met, I’m always happy to help!
