I am committed to forging a career in law that centers on advocacy. My short-term goal is to qualify as a barrister specialising in financial law and consumer rights, where I aim to champion equitable outcomes for individuals and businesses navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Over time, I aspire to deepen my expertise in these fields, leveraging courtroom advocacy to protect vulnerable parties and uphold accountability in financial systems.

Looking further ahead, my long-term aspiration is to serve as a judge in a senior appellate court. I am driven by the belief that the judiciary plays a pivotal role in shaping fair, precedent-setting decisions—particularly in areas like consumer protection and financial disputes, where systemic imbalances often persist. By bridging rigorous legal analysis with a steadfast commitment to equity, I hope to contribute meaningfully to jurisprudence while fostering public trust in the legal system.

Hello! I'm Dave a 33 year old mature student originally from Maidstone in Kent. I previously worked in the corporate world for 10 years and decided to quit my job and follow my dream which is to travel the world and teach English. I am a second year student studying English Language for TEFL. I am passionate about languages though I dont speak any other language fluently I am learning Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) Spanish, Italian and Korean. I am very happy to answer any questions about life at Bangor, the application process, the English language/Linguistics course and life as a mature student both in applying for university and being a mature student here at Bangor. I completed my BSc Biomedical Science here in Essex, and now I am studying an MSD in Cell and Molecular Biology, specifically Virology. My career plans are to find a job in industry and maybe pursue a PhD later in life. I am originally Lithuanian but have lived in the UK since I was 17, so I am a 'home' student but can happily answer any questions from international students (hopefully some Lithuanians 😉).
