Hello I'm Gemma and I am in my third year at Southampton Solent University studying Business Management with Marketing.  

Alongside my studies, I am apart of the Basketball team as well as enjoy going out with my friends and making the most of my university experience. As well as that I love travelling and have spent the past two summers abroad either volunteering in Fiji or working at an American Summer Camp where I got to call New York my home for two months, meeting the best people along the way🥹

I would love to share my experience with any new starters and give some advice to help with your journey!

Hey there!
I'm Georgia, a second year mental health nursing student from Bury St. Edmunds. I chose to do this course after feeling like I was ready for my next step after absolutely loving my role as a healthcare assistant for the past two years. I am also the student representative for our cohort, which I am really enjoying!
I like to keep myself busy and am very work motivated, so outside of studying, you'll probably find me outdoors. Doing something to do with my dog care business that I run alongside my degree.

Hi, I'm Georgia and i started studying at Bangor Uni in September 2023 after completing my A-levels that summer in Maths, Biology and French! I am originally from Nottingham and i have loved the change from city life to being inbetween the beach and mountains. I am currently studying pharmacology and absolutely love my degree. I have such a passion and get so much enjoyment from studying. I plan to go into postgrad education and then hopefully into a research and development career in labs. Classics and Ancient History (UG)

I'm Georgia, a 20 year old Classics student from a small town near Reading! After studying both Latin and Greek in school, I have taken a step back from Ancient languages for my first year at uni to explore different sides to classics. Now due to both my language experience from school and what I have learnt at uni, I feel I can give you an accurate view on what Classics at Warwick is like, and answer any further questions you might have! Additionally, coming from a small town with nothing but a single costa coffee shop, moving to the University of Warwick was a big change in how I began to live my life! I had previous experience in staying away from home and my family before university, therefore i'm always happy to chat about the experiences of moving away from home! One of my biggest fears about coming to uni was that I would not be able to make any friends, as I had previously had struggles with making friends at school, but I immediately hit it off with several of my flatmates, who had similar interests as me thanks to Warwick's accommodation quiz! From there I was able to meet even more friends through my course, and through societies like Mixed Hockey! In short, I have never been happier than I am now at Warwick, and I have really been able to express the real me at university! Feel free to ask me questions about any area of life here at Warwick and I will do my best to help and advise you!

Hi! I’m Taran, a Civil Engineering MEng student at the University of Surrey. I have completed a year in industry, having gained experience through a placement year and summer placements at large engineering consultancies. These opportunities have helped me understand what civil engineering looks like in practice, especially within the water and infrastructure sectors, and confirmed my interest in building a strong technical career after graduation.

I’m particularly interested in how civil engineering projects shape communities and manage real-world challenges like flooding, sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. At university, I’ve enjoyed the balance between technical problem-solving and practical, software-based coursework, and I’ve learned a lot about managing workload, exams, and placements alongside personal goals.
