I am a 29 y.o. PhD student in Art History & Theory with a background in Museum Studies (St Petersburg State University of Culture) and Curatorial Research (St Petersburg State University). I'm here to help you start your academic journey with the UoE.
Ask me anything about PGR studies at Essex (especially PHAIS), financial support for international students, accommodation, life on and off campus (especially cultural events, e.g. museums, theatres, etc.) and what it's like to live in the UK/Colchester (e.g. what's there for people from my (and probably yours!) part of the globe.
Fun facts about me: travelled to 40+ countries; have a cute little chinchilla named Pyshka🍩; have learnt that all the stereotypes about British weather are true—but it still rains more in St Petersburg, so I’m fine. 🥲

Liberal Arts
Hi!
My name's Leandro, and before I say anything about me, I want to say that choosing where you're gonna spend the next few years of your life is really important.
Being lucky enough to be able to choose your uni is special, and the awesome part is that you don't have to make that choice blind. I'm ready to answer all kinds of questions- from things like what lectures are like to how it feels to suddenly have so much free time, to what the culture feels like at King's, I'm here to help you as best I can!!
To be honest, I consider it a privelege to get to try help you out with thinking about your future- even if only in a small way. I'm really excited to chat!
Anyway, some basics about me are that I'm from Switzerland-but I grew up mainly in North Africa and South East Asia. Right now, I'm in my second year at King's College London studying Liberal Arts, which basically means I'm studying English and Philosophy.
I love to climb, play video games (mostly online FPS games), read and travel.
