Hi! I'm Aimée, a 4th year Liberal Arts with a Year Abroad student at UEA. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about the uni, my studies, student life or anything else. :)
Anastasiia
University of Essex
Art History
I am a 28 y.o. PhD student with a background in Museum Studies (St Petersburg State University of Culture) and Curatorial Research (St Petersburg State University). My PhD is sponsored by Essex's Human Rights Centre. I'm here to help you start your academic journey with the UoE.
Ask me anything about PGR studies at Essex (especially PHAIS), financial support for international students, accommodation, life on and off campus (especially cultural events, e.g. museums, theatres, etc.) and what it's like to live in the UK/Colchester (e.g. what's there for people from my (and probably yours!) part of the globe, such as where we celebrate Orthodox Easter!).
Fun facts about me: travelled to 30+ countries; have a cute little chinchilla named Pyshka 🍩; learnt that all stereotypes about British weather are true yet still enjoy it here.

Before starting my PhD I was working in the museum sector, in collections management. I am passionate about heritage and culture, and after graduating I would like to go back to this field.

University of East Anglia UEA
Art History and World Art Studies
In the future I don't know exactly what I want to do but I would like to work in a museum or with conservation. I am currently completing my study abroad in Ghent, Belgium and it has been one of the best opportunities of my life, I have been able to meet people from all across the world and study new and interesting classes. I love crafts, museums and the gym.
Gabriel
University of Sussex
Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence BSc (Hons)
Hi, I’m Gabriel and I’m a final year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student. I have always been obsessed with computers and knew I wanted to go into the industry from quite a young age. University was the obvious choice to me; it gave me a good path towards my future career and the whole aspect of it appealed to me. The best thing about university is being able to study a subject you're passionate about surrounded by others who feel the same. I am still unsure as to exactly which area of computer science I want to go into, but this is common, and I still have a few years of university left to help me figure this out. Feel free to ask me any questions!

University of Staffordshire

I'm a current architecture student with plans to start my own architecture and design firm. I completed a gap year prior to my studies and can help with art and design related queries.

At SOAS there are so many societies to join and fun events to attend even if you aren’t part of the society. I enjoy travelling and trying new places to eat around London with my friends. Central London has such a variety of restaurants and activities so you can never be bored.
