Hi there! I’m an international student at LTU, and I’ve had the incredible experience of living in both India and the UK before joining university. Growing up in Sheffield and Bangalore has given me a unique perspective and a love for traveling, exercising, and outdoor activities. I always seek movement and cherish being around nature. I’m passionate about attending events, meeting new people, socializing, and learning from others. I also enjoy shopping and exploring new places.
I know exactly what you’re going through because I’ve been there myself. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions – I’m here to help! Trust me, it’s all going to be alright. So take a deep breath, relax, and let’s enjoy this journey together!
FAREHA
Leeds Beckett University
Biomedical Science | MSc
Hi! My name is Fareha khalid, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Biomedical Science at Leeds Beckett University. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology, during which I developed a deep passion for research in molecular biology and drug discovery. One of my most exciting achievements was publishing research on drug repurposing for tuberculosis treatment, which strengthened my drive to contribute to global healthcare advancements.
Beyond academics, I’m a Global Ambassador and Postgraduate Representative, actively engaging with diverse student communities and supporting others in their academic and personal journeys. I’m also a former trainee in various pathology labs, where I gained hands-on experience in hematology, microbiology, and histopathology.
Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue a PhD focusing on biomedical innovation, particularly in tackling age-related diseases and zoonotic infections. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between research and clinical applications to improve healthcare outcomes globally.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about studying in the UK, lab-based careers, or even navigating university life
I’d love to help!

Fleur
University of Essex
European Studies
Hello there, nice to meet you! My name is Fleur and I am studying European Studies at Essex. I love my course because it allows me to study a lot of different topics, such as history, politics, sustainability, philosophy, and even recently a bit of economics! While I'm not completely certain what I would like to do after leaving University, I know that I would like to contribute to making the world a better place, whether that be through working in social policy, a non-profit organisation, or an area contributing to reducing the climate crisis. Outside of university I am very interested in arts and crafts, and I love to curl up on a rainy day and crochet while listening to music, which is another hobby of mine. I love all things to do with music, playing musical instruments and listening to all different genres! I'm not incredibly sporty but I do enjoy going on walks in my beautiful hometown, along with swimming in pools and rivers (although the fish do scare me a bit). Archery is another interest of mine, and I've really enjoyed getting involved at the University Club!
