Hi, I'm Emily! I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Glasgow. I am originally from Ayrshire but currently living in Glasgow. I went to St Andrews for the first 3 years of my degree and am now completing my clinical years in Glasgow. Outside medicine I enjoy dancing, yoga, reading and crochet as well as exploring the many parks in Glasgow! I am unsure what speciality of medicine is for me just yet but enjoying getting exposure to as many as possible!

After doing my A levels in Chemistry, Maths, and Psychology, I wasn't sure what to do next. I chose to come to Glasgow because of the flexibility they offered with their degree plans; I initially enrolled in a Psychology degree, but have since changed my degree to Chemistry! I am from a very small town in Ohio where nothing interesting happened, so traveling across the world to study in Glasgow has been a huge transition, yet the best thing I have ever done. I love the amazing people and the opportunity to explore Scotland as well as the rest of the world. 

After university, I am planning on becoming a psychotherapist where I will work in hospitals to help adolescents and young adults who are struggling with mental health or are in crisis. My main goal in life is to help those in need around me the best I can.

Hi! My name is Kiera and I am a 5th year Neuroscience MSci student at the University of Glasgow. Outside of my studies I love to sing and perform on stage in musicals - it is a great way to relax and express myself! I chose to study Neuroscience as I find the complexity of the brain fascinating, and there is so much to learn about on this course. Common Law [LLB]

I am a third year common law student from London. After university I plan to train to be a barrister. I am currently on a year abroad in Singapore - so if you have any questions about study abroad I'm more than happy to help!

Around campus, I'm usually quite busy. I've been a Welcome Week Helper - so I can tell you a lot about what to expect from Welcome Week. I've also been elected to student council twice - once as General Representative and most recently as Charities Officer. I've always looked to get involved in student societies and have been involved in the Bar and Advocacy society, Raising and Giving Society as well as the Law Review. 

I also love sports! I used to play for Glasgow uni's football team every Wednesday in first year. More recently, I have taken part in boxing as part of Student Fight Night. On my year abroad, I have also taken up rugby which has been great fun.

I know it can seem a little daunting at first but there are lots of events and societies organised to meet new people and have fun! Personally I like to bake, read and I'd love to travel and explore new cultures.  After I've completed my degree, I have an interest in pediatrics , however, I'm still very uncertain at this stage- (let's hope I survive my exams first..)
