I am currently in my penultimate year of the Physics with Astrophysics MSci program at the University of Glasgow. Hi! I’m 2nd year studying a joint honours in Management and Philosophy, having changed from a senior honours in Economics! I have taken modules in Business Law, Entrepreneurship , Marketing, HR, Finance, Maths, Economics, Operations etc. I volunteer with scouts and am in the Army OTC! I also am a part of Hare and Hounds, Tennis, Tri and Mountaineering. I am Treasurer of the Walking Club, VP of the Business Soc and Captain of the Orienteering and Fell Running Club. Happy, thoughtful, mad and passionate would be the 4 words to describe me!  I am also a proud NGO secretary which has led me to speak as a delegate at 2 UN Commissions. I developed my inter personal and problem solving skills as Philosophy Rep partaking in a subject periodic review.

I initially came to Glasgow to study zoology but quickly changed to microbiology after discovering my passion for infectious diseases and lab work. I am secretary for Glasgow University Immunity & Infection Society and UofG Antimicrobials & Antimicrobial Resistance Society. I also run and act as secretary for an anti-hate crime charity in Kilmarnock called 4ward2gether which I have done since 2019. Starting university can be very daunting but don’t be nervous as so many other people are feeling the same! I will do my best to help you with any questions you may have!

I am from a very small town in Ohio where nothing interesting happened, so traveling across the world to study in Glasgow has been a huge transition, yet the best thing I have ever done. I love the amazing people and the opportunity to explore Scotland as well as the rest of the world. 

After university, I am planning on becoming a psychotherapist where I will work in hospitals to help adolescents and young adults who are struggling with mental health or are in crisis. My main goal in life is to help those in need around me the best I can.
