Hi, I'm Georgia and i started studying at Bangor Uni in September 2023 after completing my A-levels that summer in Maths, Biology and French! I am originally from Nottingham and i have loved the change from city life to being inbetween the beach and mountains. I am currently studying pharmacology and absolutely love my degree. I have such a passion and get so much enjoyment from studying. I plan to go into postgrad education and then hopefully into a research and development career in labs. My future plan is to excel in the career I am interested in and become the best version of myself to avoid regrets in my life! I consider myself ambitious but also procrastinate like most other people (just need lil bit of motivation to help myself but we will get there! Haha!) As an international student, I can also possibly give you some guidance on the admission processes as far as I can. (it is quite daunting coming from another country! so don't feel lonely!)

I have always enjoyed the academic scene, with my focus being in history and an interest in literature which I did as an A-level along with history and philosophy. I currently study marine biology, and plan to pursue a career in conservation. I would love to work with a rescue and rehabilitation center as a rescue coordinator and care specialist, or as a diver for conservation and restoration projects around the world.

Alongside my coursework, I’m a member of the women’s rugby union. I absolutely love my team, and all the experiences I have through them (like Wednesday night socials)! Sport and society opportunities at Bangor are phenomenal, and I’d love to tell you all about them! We also have a multitude of volunteering opportunities, with truly something for everyone. Bangor can feel quite small, but between uni-sponsored opportunities, third-party events, and living on the doorstep of Eryri, there’s no reason you can’t have a vibrant time here.

Hi! As an international student, I intend on returning to my home country, Seychelles, to pursue a career in the legal field, after I have finished my current course. The law has always been intriguing to me and I have a similar interest in Psychology because it is such a fascinating subject, so I studied it in A-levels and I have loved it ever since. That is why I decided to study Psychology as well as Law at university level, despite only intending to enter the law profession, and I could not be happier about my decision.
