Hi, I'm Sid. I am a first-generation, state-educated university student at Reading. Having completed a foundation year in BSc Business & Management at Henley Business School, I am now an LLB Law with International Business student. I remember how difficult it is to pick the right university, Reading has so much support, opportunities and great teaching.
I can answer questions about life in university halls and commuting, foundation year experiences, courses and course transfers, and how university education is structured. I’m also happy to talk about the support available at Reading, including the Disability Advisory Service, as well as general university life such as clubs and societies and being a student councillor and society vice-president.
As a first-generation university student from a rural background, I can share insight into the application process, transitioning to university, managing part-time work alongside study, careers, bursaries, and any other university- or Reading-related questions.
I look forward to answering your questions!

I’m from a small town in South India my university journey shaped who I am today: someone who values growth, connection, and learning from every experience.
I’m passionate about business, organisation, and taking care of people. In the future, I hope to build my career around business and accounting, with the long-term goal of owning my own business one day. I enjoy taking charge , ensuring things run smoothly, bringing ideas to life, relying on results and creating meaningful impact through what I do.
One of my biggest strengths is that I genuinely love talking to people, building connections, and helping others. That’s why roles like being a Student Ambassador and Peer Leader mean so much to me supporting students and making them feel comfortable reminds me why I chose this path.
Outside of academics and leadership, I’m happiest when I’m doing something calm and grounding, I’ll never say no to a walk in the garden or plant shopping . It’s my way of slowing down and finding balance in busy student life.
