Hi, I'm Ahmed!

I’m a second-year BSc Accounting and Finance student at SOAS. I chose SOAS because of its unique global perspective, diverse community, and strong emphasis on understanding finance in an international and real-world context. The course is both challenging and rewarding, offering a great mix of technical skills and critical thinking.

Beyond my studies, I have a strong background in teaching and mentoring. I’ve spent the past three years leading the 11 Plus department at a tuition center, successfully guiding students through their exams. This experience has strengthened my communication and leadership skills, which I now bring into my university life.

I’m passionate about exploring the intersections of finance, business, and global development, and I hope to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in the future. Outside of academics, I enjoy engaging in student-led initiatives and networking with like-minded individuals.

I have just completed my first year as an Accountancy and Finance student at the University of Lincoln. I took a gap year before starting university in which I worked and travelled, whilst deciding what I wanted my future to look like! After university, I want to either train to be an accountant, or a teacher, possibly in maths, business or my degree area.
I joined the University of Lincoln's Athletics society in September 2024, which has allowed me to make new friends, and take part in many social and competitive events. I ran my first 10k race in April 2025 with fellow society members!
I live at home and commuted to campus during my first year. I either walked, drove or got the bus to university.

I’m Deepak Lamichhane, an MSc Investment & Finance student at the University of Strathclyde. I’m originally from Nepal, and I’m someone who is hardworking, friendly, and always willing to support others. I have a strong background in finance, leadership, and community work, but I’m also very comfortable with practical, hands-on roles and helping people in everyday situations.

Outside my studies, I enjoy cycling, cooking, travelling, and keeping myself active. I like meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing my experiences with anyone who might find them helpful. Hello!! I am Finn and I am a third-year undergraduate student at Southampton Solent University studying (BSc) Accounting and Finance. I recently returned from a placement year at an aerospace firm being a finance intern. I chose to study this degree as I would like to become a Financial Analyst after I graduate. I am also part of the Badminton Society which involves league games and social events. Outside of university, there are lots of activities to do in Southampton. For me, I like the nightlife and raving scene, also enjoy watching the football at bars and chilled activities such as going swimming and late night walks! I am a second-year student at City, University of London, currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science (I’m sure you haven’t heard much about this course!). My academic journey has been shaped by diverse experiences across different countries. Originally from Pakistan, I was raised in the UAE, where I developed a strong passion for both academics and sports. Representing the UAE at the U16 national level in cricket was a proud moment that taught me the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

After completing my IGCSEs in the UAE, I moved to the UK at 17 to further my education. I completed a foundation course at Kaplan, which prepared me for the rigorous academic environment at university. My dedication paid off when I secured admission into City, where I’m now delving into the world of risk and probability through my studies in Actuarial Science.

At City, I’m focused on excelling academically while also developing a well-rounded skill set for a successful career in actuarial science. My journey from Pakistan to the UAE and now to the UK has been one of growth, learning, and embracing new challenges, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
