Hi, I'm Abi!
I am a part of the University of Reading; however, I am originally from a small town in South Wales. I have always had a keen interest in Business Marketing; even when I was young, I used social media to create a platform to share and promote my journey in horse riding. As I have grown older, I now work for the University's engagement and content creation team and wish to pursue this further once I graduate. University has allowed me to explore my interests, make new friends and be more independent and confident in myself, which I had struggled with in the past. I took a year out for an internship with BMW, which was such a great way to apply my studies to the real world. I’m also a first-gen uni student, so I know what it’s like navigating everything for the first time!
When I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me at a concert, hanging out with friends, or heading home at Christmas to see our family sausage dog. I was also part of the Equestrian Society, which was an amazing way to meet people and unwind.

Hi there! I am a PhD Student who recently graduated from Strathclyde with a MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Applications.

I started my PhD in Design Manufacturing and Engineering Management in October and have been enjoying working on my project ‘Cognitive Biases in Conceptual Design’

In my free time, I enjoy exploring both Scotland and abroad, but particularly this beautiful country. Some of my favourite memories from Strathclyde have been the sports ball, a mountaineering trip to Glencoe, and attending fight nights. I have had so many great experiences from my time as a student here from from being a sports union volunteer to becoming a class rep.

Hi, my name is Eniola. I was born in London but I am Nigerian by blood, and I am currently studying Business Management with French! French is a language I have been passionate about since I was young, and I chose to study this course after a trip to Marseille, in which I fell in love with the French culture: the music, the food, the vibes. From there, I applied to Essex through clearing as I was coming to the end of my gap year. I wanted to study a degree that combined the two things that I loved, marketing and French, and Essex was one of the very few universities that offered this opportunity. Doing a combined degree has opened a lot of doors for me, for example, in my first year I became a Social Media Ambassador for the university, and I also was given the chance to do a Marketing internship in Paris at the end of my first year. This was very rewarding as being able to do marketing not only for the university but in my favourite city as well was a dream come true.

I studied Business, Maths, and Computer Science at A-level at my local sixth form and achieved grades of ABC. These grades were enough to get me accepted into my first choice, Lancaster University, to study accounting and finance. However I realised during my first year that Accounting and Finance wasn’t the right course for me, and I decided to move to business management, where I really enjoyed the entrepreneurship module so decided to go into 2nd year on the Business Management (entrepreneurship) course. The current career path I am exploring is business consulting; I feel it suits my personality well and it is a well established industry. During my free time, I regularly go to the gym, and play football with my friends.
