Hello! I’m George a 3rd year student studying Environmental Sciemce at the University of Southampton. I have really grown as a person over my time at university, I didn’t know where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do in my life and career but I soon realised! I became really passionate in environmental management through my course and felt I would make a big difference pursuing a career in it and so I am happy to say that’s what I’ll be doing after I graduate! 

When it comes to my life outside of university, I am obsessed with Formula One and cars. I take any chance I get to spend time with friends and family watching races! I also love music especially indie, in particular Wunderhorse… . I also go to the gym a lot in my spare time and enjoy keeping fit (whilst listening to music of course!). 

I am always happy to have a chat so don’t hesitate to ask any questions, I’d be keen to answer anything!

I completed my Master’s in Molecular Medicine and am currently pursuing a PhD focused on wastewater monitoring for pathogenic fungal infections and antifungal resistance. I aspire to be a scientist who can contribute to improving public health and quality of life through meaningful research.
