I am currently studying towards a PhD in History focusing on food culture as an expression of identity in diaspora communities in the UK. I hope to move in to teaching after that though I am also interested in getting involved in areas of social policy so am keen to see where my project takes me. Before returning to education I worked for over 10 years in the sales environment selling a range of products to both public and private sector clients.

At SOAS there are so many societies to join and fun events to attend even if you aren’t part of the society. I enjoy travelling and trying new places to eat around London with my friends. Central London has such a variety of restaurants and activities so you can never be bored.
