I am a 4th year Graduate Entry Medicine Student and I also did my Bsc in Medical Pharmacology at Swansea. I love dance, aerial sports and cheerleading, it has been a great experience so far. There are a lot of different areas of Swansea that can be explored. I was born in America but have done GCSE and A-levels in the United Kingdom. I have various jobs connected to the university such as Student Ambassador. The Medical Pharmacology course was a great and engaging experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi I'm Sam, a final year postgrad medic, which is the equivalent to the undergraduate medicine's 5th year.  In our first year we completed a 4 week cram course over summer before joining directly into 2nd year undergraduate medicine, which is how our graduate course is structured. This means I have all of the application process to medicine fresh in my head and am happy to answer any questions about this, the course structure, or anything else you can think of. I studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Sheffield before this!

Graduate Entry Medicine Programme

I’m a first-year Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) student at King’s College London, based at the Portsmouth campus. My academic background is in Biomedical Science (BSc, University of Hull) and Women and Children’s Health (MSc, King’s College London). I’m passionate about maternal and reproductive health, clinical research, and tackling healthcare inequalities. Before starting medicine, I gained experience in paediatric healthcare and Women's health research, which deepened my commitment to becoming a compassionate and evidence-driven doctor. I’d love to share insights about the GEM course, transitioning from a bioscience degree, and life as a KCL Portsmouth student.
