Hi, I'm Anya. I'm a 3rd year Graphic Design student at NTU, with an interest in illustration and branding. I also like reading and crochet. I know starting out in a new city can be really tough, so I am happy to answer any questions, whether they are related to the school, my studies specifically, student life or Nottingham in general.

English and Journalism - BA (Hons)
Hi,
I am a second year student who have experienced taking a gap year after completing A-levels in sixth form.
I then took a local college course as I wanted to go into a degree programme where my A-levels wouldn't apply (STEM A-levels wouldn't do for an English and Journalism degree ) and decided the college course would work out cheaper than a foundation course at uni. So that took 2 years. If you are a mature student and worried about adjusting, I can reassure you that the first year is all about making sure everyone is on the same page.
I am also here if you have any issues with roommates as I had to relocate so understand how it can affect your well-being. I can also relate if you come from a bigger city and find it an adjustment to get used to being a student in a smaller space that lacks the usual diversity from big places.
Otherwise, I like reading, running, and sewing but feel free to reach out for a chat about nothing and everything under the sun :)

Keele University
English & Creative Writing
Hey, I'm Becka! 🌷 I recently graduated from Keele with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and am now an MA Creative Writing student here. I love all things art, from writing to drawing to fashion and self-expression. I also spend a lot of time playing video games, eating food and taking pictures of my cat (my phone storage is nearly full).
I've taken electives in philosophy, psychology, media studies and sociology, and live off-campus. In the future I hope to live in a remote forest treehouse (with a good wi-fi signal). Feel free to ask me any questions about uni! 🦋

Medicine - BMBS
Hi I am a medicine student. Absolutely loving my course and life in the Lincoln. The city and the university provides great academic and student life experience. Since the day I made a decision to move to university. I have never reconsidered my choices. The warm and welcoming community makes it all worth it.

Biology - BSc (Hons)
Hi! I’m Amelia, and I’m studying biology at UOL! I am the course rep for my year and also a student ambassador, and my interests in biology are towards the structural aspects. I enjoy learning about human biology and how the human systems work, and the similarities between us and animals. I hope to study more about the history of biology, such as fossils and bones in the future, as well as ‘ancientbiotics’ - how humans treated diseases without the knowledge we have now. In my free time I like to help out and volunteer with projects relating to my interests in biology and also tabletop games!

Computer Science
Hey there! I'm a second-year computer science student from Tanzania. When I'm not buried in code, you can find me on the football field, shooting hoops on the basketball court, or battling it out in online battle royale games—I'm a bit of a gaming enthusiast. I've also got a thing for cars, their mechanics and design fascinate me. What really excites me, though, is the idea of merging my interests with artificial intelligence. The thought of blending manual processes with AI tech gets me fired up. So, fellow future students, remember that your passions can lead you to exciting places, and I can't wait to explore this journey with you!

Hello I'm Ayesha and I study Biomedical Science. I was born and raised in the UK but my parents are from different countries. My mum is from Portugal and my dad is from Pakistan - but I can only speak English. I am the eldest daughter in a family of 8 and I am the first person in my family to go to university. With my degree from this course I am hoping to have a job in a pharmacy or in a lab with the NHS.
