Portsmouth is the UK's only island city. YouGov surveys in 2022 found it to be one of the nation’s top 10 most popular cities. Our campus and halls of residence are in the lively city centre. You’ll find inspiration round every corner.
Our new Ravelin Sports Centre includes an 8 court sports hall, 25m swimming pool and a bouldering wall rising from the basement through the building. It’s one of the most sustainable sports facilities in the UK.
Within a 10 minute walk from campus, you’ll find miles of beaches and green spaces. Two Victorian piers offer amazing views, amusement arcades and rides. Spinnaker Tower gives you stunning views of the city and the Solent. Gunwharf Quays is a destination designer outlet.
Many students live in the friendly and quirky resort area of Southsea. Whatever your vibe, there’s something to love, from festivals and food markets through to kayaking and lakeside picnics. By night, Portsmouth is home to a feast of gigs, bars, restaurants, clubs and shows.
I visited the University of Portsmouth and instantly loved the lively energy and the campus feel.
