International

The University of Law offers a range of services designed specifically to support international students. These resources aim to ease your transition into UK academic life and provide a fulfilling student experience.

International Scholarships and Bursaries
We offer a range of financial aid options exclusively for international students. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, while bursaries help students manage the cost of tuition. These awards are applied as annual fee reductions, easing financial pressures and allowing you to focus on your studies.

Academic Coaching and Library Resources
Each international student is assigned an academic coach to guide them through the unique challenges of adapting to the UK education system. Your coach will help you navigate coursework, provide feedback on assignments, and support you in building effective study strategies.
Our libraries include an extensive range of resources designed for international students, such as legal cases and legislation from countries like Canada, Hong Kong, and India.

Community Building and Integration
Each campus organises events specifically for international students, such as multicultural festivals, networking sessions, and city tours. These activities help you connect with peers from around the world while exploring your new surroundings.

Dedicated International Societies

International students can join societies that celebrate their cultural heritage or create new groups to share traditions and experiences. These societies provide a sense of community and foster connections between students from diverse backgrounds.

Cultural Adjustment Support
Adjusting to life in a new country can be challenging. We offer resources to help international students adapt to British culture, including advice on local customs, social norms, and practical aspects of living in the UK.

Pre-Departure Guide
We provide a comprehensive guide tailored for international students, covering everything from obtaining your visa and preparing travel documents to understanding UK academic expectations. This guide includes tips on budgeting, what to pack, and how to set up essentials like bank accounts upon arrival.

Arrivals Guide
To help you settle into the UK smoothly, this guide offers practical advice on navigating UK airports, registering with healthcare providers, setting up a phone plan, and acclimating to British culture. It also includes step-by-step instructions for completing your enrolment with us.

English Language Preparation
Designed for non-native English speakers, we offer courses to improve your academic English skills, focusing on critical reading, academic writing, and professional communication. These courses are ideal for international students who may need additional support to meet English proficiency standards.

University of Law English Test (ULET)
This specialised test evaluates your English level for admission to undergraduate or postgraduate programs. It meets UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) requirements, allowing international students a streamlined process to demonstrate language proficiency.

Our dedicated international team provides step-by-step support with your visa application. From understanding UKVI requirements to preparing the necessary documentation, the team ensures that your application process is as smooth as possible. They also offer ongoing advice for extending or updating your visa during your studies.
