    Hey, I’m Belén! I’m originally from Spain and completed my Foundation Diploma in Paris in 2022. Currently, I’m a Textile Design student at Chelsea College of Arts, taking a sandwich year to complete a Diploma in Creative Computing at the UAL Creative Computing Institute before starting my third year. During my second year, I had the opportunity to go on exchange (back to Paris! 😊) and have also taken part in other exciting international opportunities through UAL. As an international student, I understand both the excitement and challenges of moving to a new country for university. From adapting to a new culture to navigating student life in London, I’ve learned a lot along the way. UAL has a welcoming and diverse community, and there are so many opportunities to connect with people from all over the world. If you’re feeling unsure about studying abroad or settling into London, I’d be happy to share my experiences and tips! I have a strong interest in the intersection of textiles, technology, and human behavior. My work explores how computational design, weave, and interactive systems can shape our perception of materials and environments. I’m also passionate about sustainability, design innovation, and the role of craft in a digital world.     I plan to use my tailoring skills to get into the world of haute couture opening up my own atelier and showing my work at Paris fashion week. I always knew I wanted to study fashion so I went straight from a level 3 Btec diploma in business straight to tailoring without doing a foundation year a learnt everything I needed to know on my course so I would be more than happy to help you with figuring out what is best for you on your journey
