Start your journey towards becoming a future business leader and shape your international career. On this four year BSc you'll study business management with an international focus. We'll equip you with the skills to meet the challenges of the international business environment.
You'll study key principles across accounting, marketing, finance, strategy and entrepreneurship. The course looks at how organisations succeed in a globalised world. You'll explore new markets, customer relationships, products, services and processes.
You'll also gain practical experience whilst spending your third year abroad studying at one of our international partner institutions with the opportunity to learn new skills and enhance your employability. The study abroad year is a unique opportunity to experience another culture, improve your language skills and enhance your CV.

Graduates from the University of Southampton Business School earn £34,100 on average within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes 2022-23 published 2025).
We also offer a variant of this course with a paid placement year instead of the study abroad year to gain valuable industry experience.

Typical offer: AAA
We normally consider applicants who offer at least 1 Advanced Higher. Applicants presenting with only Highers will be considered on a case by case basis. Where Highers are taken over two years it might be expected that higher grades are achieved, particularly in any specific subjects required. For example, S5 – S6 (2 years): AABBB (A in specific subject) or S6 (1 year): ABBBB (A in specific subject).
Unless a more advanced level (Higher or Advanced Higher) is specified in the stated entry requirements, all applicants will be required to have achieved a pass in Mathematics and English at Standard Grade, Grade 3 or National 5, Grade C, the equivalent of GCSE Grade C/ Grade 4"
DD in the BTEC Diploma plus A grade from one A-level.

60 credits with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3, all of which must be at Distinction
Offers typically exclude Social Care/Healthcare pathways.
Applicants must hold GCSE English language (or GCSE English) (minimum grade 4/C) and mathematics (minimum grade 6/B).
A grade 5 in mathematics (in the new reformed GCSE's) can be accepted if an applicant has grade B in A levels Maths, Physics, Economics, Geography, Psychology or Business.
Please note we cannot accept a grade 5 in mathematics if you are studying other qualifications, the requirement is a grade 6.
Offers will be based on exams being taken at the end of S6. Subjects taken and qualifications achieved in S5 will be reviewed. Careful consideration will be given to an individual’s academic achievement, taking in to account the context and circumstances of their pre-university education. The University of Southampton values the Extended Project Qualification. If you are taking an EPQ in addition to 3 A levels, you will receive the following offer in addition to the standard A-level offer: AAB plus grade A in the EPQ.
OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in Business is accepted if combined with one suitable A level with grade A.
If your OCR is not in Business, we strongly suggest you contact us before applying.
Typical offer: Pass, with 36 points overall with 18 points at Higher Level with grade 4 at SL in Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation.
International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP):
Offers will be made on the individual Diploma Course subject(s) and the career-related study qualification. The CP core will not form part of the offer. D3, D3, D3 in three Principal subjects
Cambridge Pre-U's can be used in combination with other qualifications such as A Levels to achieve the equivalent of the typical offer.
We welcome applicants with other qualifications eg. European Baccalaureate. You will be expected to attain an equivalent standard to the A level applicant.
