Course summary

The best school leaders don't just manage what's in front of them. They shape the conditions that make good teaching and learning possible in the first place.

Walbrook's MA Educational Leadership is built for educators who are already leading, or on the verge of it, and want to understand how educational organisations really work, how policy shapes what's possible on the ground, and how to lead improvement that lasts.

You'll study leadership as something that plays out through relationships, structures, and the everyday realities of how schools and trusts function. You'll examine how cultures form and shift, how change takes hold in complex organisations, and how to make decisions that hold up under scrutiny.

Combined with your professional experience, this qualification supports your progression into leadership roles across schools, trusts, and wider educational settings.

Start any month from September 2026. Study full-time and graduate in 1 year, or choose part-time and progress module by module, 100% online. Flex between full-time and part-time learning, with support when you need it.
