Course summary

Physiotherapists are key members of health care teams. They work with people of all ages to prevent injury, promote health and restore movement and function.

Our aim is to develop graduates with the values and skills to become innovative and problem-solving practitioners. You will develop a scientific outlook and deal with patients in a variety of settings; from neuro rehabilitation and musculoskeletal to respiratory care and industry.

To develop the skills required in physiotherapy, you will practise on other students in your class. Your learning is also supported by visiting the clinical simulation lab, field trips, practice education placements and e-learning. You will also gain experience in an elective placement in the UK or abroad.

The learning and teaching methods we use ensure that our course is both vocationally relevant and academically challenging. Our approach is student-centred, practical, participative and relevant to the needs of employers. Students gain experience in an elective placement, which can take place in the UK or abroad.
