Immerse yourself in mathematics and computer science to unlock a world of opportunities with our joint honours BSc Mathematics and Computer Science with a Year in Industry course. Spend a year gaining real-world experience in a professional setting and prepare for careers in our ever-evolving digital world. In your third year you will go on industrial placement, working for a company or other appropriate institution, developing your computer and mathematical skills in the workplace setting.
From exploring the worlds of statistics and computer systems to programming and security, you will study in a supportive and fun community. You’ll learn to apply analytical, statistical, computational and programming skills to formulate and tackle problems. Enjoy the invaluable opportunity of working with a company or institution to get set for an exciting future.
We’ll help you step up to university level maths, then dive into the more advanced areas. Our expert academics will guide you to become an independent and self-motivated mathematician and computer scientist. Spending time on an industrial placement will help prepare you for graduate roles and in your final year you can specialise in areas that interest you.
