Organisations increasingly rely on effective supply chains to compete in the global market. An effective supply chain goes beyond the successful input and output of goods and services. With the right management, a supply chain has the power to influence entire business processes, create value and unite multiple organisations from all over the world.

This complex discipline, with IT, logistics and procurement elements, is increasingly important in today's globalised environment of interconnected networks.

On this course, you will gain an understanding of key areas such as business strategy, supply chain management, logistics, procurement and supply chain analytics. You will raise your awareness of the critical issues in international operations and solving real-world problems, preparing you to manage complex international operations, address real-world business challenges, and drive sustainable solutions across global networks.

This programme is a 24-month professional pathway, offering a twelve-month (30-36 weeks) professional experience that is directly applicable to your studies.

What will you learn?
This degree equips you with a global view of the strategic and operational processes you need to manage a supply chain. This includes procurement, transportation, warehousing, inventory management and production planning.

You’ll learn from academics who have research and practical experience in areas including supply chain analytics, supply chain risk management, logistics and knowledge management, and experience working in sectors such as manufacturing, FMCG and computer services.

You will be trained in the implementation of specialised, industry-standard software for managing and analysing supply chain processes, including SAP® and Arena®.

Through the 12-month placement option, you can apply your learning to real-world global challenges within government bodies, NGOs, think tanks, or international development organisations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in policy analysis, project management, sustainability strategy, and stakeholder engagement - skills that are vital for influencing change in an increasingly interconnected world.
