Step into the world of mathematics with this diploma, where theory meets real-world application. You’ll develop a deep understanding of pure and applied mathematics, with the option to include statistics, while honing problem-solving, modelling, and computational skills. By developing an understanding of mathematical software and learning to communicate complex arguments clearly, you’ll be ready to tackle a range of challenges in research, finance, technology, and data-driven roles. This qualification also provides a strong foundation for further academic study in mathematics or related fields.

This maths diploma has two stages, each comprising 120 credits.
In Stage 1: You’ll choose one of two starts depending on your level of mathematical knowledge: the default start enables you to build up skills, knowledge and confidence at a slower pace, the intensive start allows you to build on your existing mathematics study. Read the Entry requirements to decide which start is right for you.
In Stage 2: You’ll choose one 60-credit module from either pure mathematics or applied mathematics, and a further 60 credits from pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.
