Why Psychology, Health and Wellbeing?
This course ‘tops up’ your previous qualifications to a BSc (Hons) degree and provides a stepping stone into psychology-related professions.
We teach alternative, ‘critical’ perspectives in psychology, alongside the established theories.
We have a strong basis in qualitative methods as well as quantitative, and you’ll be taught by experts in both. Nothing is taken for granted – we encourage you to question existing knowledge and to consider new approaches.
Real-world focus - Our psychology syllabus emphasises real-world knowledge and the application of psychology in everyday and professional settings.
From evaluating psychology claims on social media to understanding the role of clinical psychologists, we encourage you to look outside the textbooks to understand psychology’s role in the world.
Excellent student support - UoG is a friendly community where student support is a top priority. Our lecturers prioritise fostering positive relationships with students, and your personal tutor will be with you throughout the degree to offer advice on study skills and career planning.
