On the Business Management, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship course, you’ll gain a broad understanding of business with a strong emphasis on managing entrepreneurship and innovation. You’ll study the exceptional challenges associated with innovations that can trigger massive changes in what is possible within a business.
You’ll deepen your understanding of the processes involved in creating digital start-up businesses from inception to launch. And how both new and established organisations can respond to the opportunities and threats associated with disruptive innovation.
On the Business Management, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship pathway you will:
Gain an overview of the concepts, theories and techniques that contribute to an understanding of business management.
Understand the characteristics, and the measures of success, applicable to innovative businesses in a contemporary environment.
Understand the implications of disruptive technology and the need to manage innovations accordingly.
Learn a range of approaches to introducing innovations.
Understand the requirements and techniques associated with a complicated and uncertain world.
Recognise the ethical issues surrounding business and be able to practise responsible management.

Most modules are assessed by a combination of exams and coursework.
The balance of assessment by coursework (assessed essays and assignments) unseen examinations and a final year project will to some extent depend on the optional modules you choose.
The first year of your programme contributes 10% to your final degree classification, the second year 30% and the final year 60%.
