This course pulls together project management theory, practice and solid hands-on experience to provide you with an excellent grounding in project management theory and methods.
The course content covers qualitative and quantitative aspects of project management including: Time, quality and cost management, Project leadership and team management, Project management's contribution to strategy. The course also provides the option to select modules relevant to different project management application areas such as General project management, Information systems and Engineering. You may choose to register on our Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) or Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) programmes, depending on your objectives for study. This course is accredited by the Association for Project Management as being aligned with their professional body of knowledge.
Modules include: Principles of project management; project scheduling and budgeting; project risk management; quality and change management; project management simulation; project leadership and communication. Optional modules: project management for innovation: business improvement and change; agile project management; managing knowledge in organisations; manufacturing strategy; engineering product development.

An Honours degree (at least 2.2 or above) or equivalent in a related subject such as business, general management, information systems and technology, engineering and sciences or project management subjects; or at least 1 year's work experience in a project management role supported by a HE or equivalent qualification; a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or 6.0 plus completion of the university's 4-week pre-sessional English course, or equivalent is required for those whose 1st language is not English.
