Our MEng course is the preferred route to achieving Chartered Engineer status. It will give you a deeper understanding of the role of mechanical engineering compared to our BEng course.
As a MEng Mechanical Engineering student, you'll gain hands-on experience with well-equipped facilities including robotics labs, the immersive VR teaching suite and 3D printing facilities, and apply your knowledge through individual and group projects.
This is a four-year course and you will spend your third year studying abroad.

Maths and either Physics (preferred) or Further Maths as a 2nd subject, or Maths with any two of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Design, Electronics,
Excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies, CIE Global Perspectives and Research, CIE Thinking Skills.
A level mathematics also required. For applicants with T Level qualifications without A level mathematics the Foundation Year (H100) is recommended.
This qualification is only acceptable when combined with Advanced Higher grades AA including Mathematics and Physics
GCSE requirements for all applicants - English grade C/4 or equivalent
Advanced Higher grades AA including Mathematics and Physics plus Higher grades AAAAB

The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma is not accepted for this course. Applicants should apply for the relevant BEng course.

Applicants to this course may be eligible for our Additional Qualifications Offer Reduction Scheme. If you achieve a grade A in an EPQ, Core Maths*, IB Extended Essay or additional AS level qualification* then you will receive a one grade reduced offer for this course.
Please note that if you qualify for an enhanced contextual offer or receive an alternative offer based on taking four A levels, your additional qualification will not be taken into consideration as we are unable to make any further adjustments to your offer.
