Our MEng Mechanical Engineering degree equips you with the skills and knowledge to make a difference in industries ranging from aerospace and renewable energy to medicine and Formula 1. Mechanical engineering innovations touch every part of our lives, from the cars we drive to how our food is processed.

Our MEng course is the preferred route to achieving Chartered Engineer status. It will give you a deeper understanding of the role of mechanical engineering compared to our BEng course.
As a MEng Mechanical Engineering student, you'll gain hands-on experience with well-equipped facilities including robotics labs, the immersive VR teaching suite and 3D printing facilities, and apply your knowledge through individual and group projects.
This is a four-year course and you will spend your third year studying abroad.

Applicants to this course may be eligible for our Additional Qualifications Offer Reduction Scheme. If you achieve a grade A in an EPQ, Core Maths*, IB Extended Essay or additional AS level qualification* then you will receive a one grade reduced offer for this course.
Please note that if you qualify for an enhanced contextual offer or receive an alternative offer based on taking four A levels, your additional qualification will not be taken into consideration as we are unable to make any further adjustments to your offer.
