If you're looking to begin a career in teach or train in the post16 sector in further education, higher education, work-based learning, industry training, or other vocational settings, this course, delivered by seasoned industry experts, will equip you with a nationally recognised teaching qualification.
The program integrates theory and practice to help you become an effective teaching professional. It combines theoretical insights on best practices with hands-on teaching experience, allowing you to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
The focus is on collaborative learning, where students share their experiences and expertise while applying learned concepts to their teaching. Tutors guide and support students as facilitators, providing resources and challenges to enhance the learning process.
This program prepares you for a variety of teaching careers in Further and Higher Education, youth work, adult and community education, work-based learning, HM Forces training, prison education, as well as industry and commercial training roles.
Modules include: Planning for Learning, Assessing for Learning, Developing Professional Practice, Case Study Research, Text Talk and Literacies, and Extending Professional Practice.
You will also need to undertake teaching practice of a minimum of 70 hours each year (arranged prior to starting the course).
