TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a rapidly growing field that equips learners with the language skills they need to thrive in a globalised world. Whether you're already working in language education or looking to transition into this dynamic area, this course will deepen your expertise and open new career pathways across the globe.
You’ll explore how educational theories and concepts apply in a wide range of international and community-based contexts, and you'll reflect on how language teaching intersects with broader issues like culture, policy, migration, and social justice. The course brings together a truly international cohort of students, offering you the chance to share insights and build networks across borders.
Designed for teachers and education professionals working in both national and international settings, this MA is ideal if you're aiming to advance your career - whether that means stepping into a leadership role, taking on new responsibilities, or making a strategic move within the TESOL field.
What sets this master’s apart is its unique blend of theory, policy, and real-world practice. You'll be taught by a team of world-renowned researchers and experienced practitioners who bring a strong social science perspective to the realities of language education. Together, you'll examine the challenges and opportunities facing TESOL professionals today - from curriculum design to classroom practice, and from language policy to intercultural communication.
By the end of the course, you’ll not only have advanced knowledge of TESOL, but also the critical thinking skills and international outlook needed to become a reflective, effective, and socially responsible educator in any part of the world.
