What is GIS?
GIS is a technology at the heart of spatial analysis, used to map things and locations to answer questions, detect patterns, tell stories and make insights that cannot be inferred from spreadsheets and charts.

Science subject at Grade B required.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD
Applicants studying one of the following subjects in the BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC Diploma or BTEC Extended Certificate will be considered without the specific GCE A-Level subject requirements: Applied Human Biology, Applied Psychology, Applied Science, Computing.
Access to HE Diploma - D: 30 credits M: 15 credits
Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 30 L3 credits at Distinction grade plus 15 L3 credits at Merit grade. To include 12 L3 credits at Merit grade in a Science or related subject area. Please also see our GCSE requirements.
Scottish Higher - AAABB - AAAAB
Science subject at Grade B required.
Scottish Advanced Higher - ABB - AAB
Science subject at Grade B required.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 34 - 36 points
Applicants will be considered with IB 36-34 OR 666 or 665 in three Higher Level subjects. All applicants will be required to have HL Grade 5 in a Science.
English language requirements
GCSE English Language with a minimum pass of Grade C or 4.
