The MEng is a four-year integrated degree that goes beyond the BEng, offering advanced technical and leadership skills, deeper specialisation, and a direct pathway to professional accreditation.
In Year 1, you will typically study areas including: Engineering for People Hackathon, Data analysis and simulation, Introduction to Materials Engineering, Engineering Mathematics (EEE, General and Mech), Applied Mechanics (Mechanical and General), Engineering Design and Tutorials, Manufacturing Technology, Thermofluids.
In Year 2, you will typically study areas including: AI, Machine Learning and Data Analysis, Machines and Control, Thermofluids, Mechanical Engineering Design and Practice, Research Project Preparation, and Stress Analysis.
In Year 3, you will typically study areas including: Engineering Management (Aero, EEE, Mech), Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics, Finite Element Method, Individual Engineering Project, Dynamics, Mechanical Engineering Practice and Design, Fluid Mechanics.
Year 4 (MEng): Advanced Thermo Fluid Mechanics, Group Project (Mechanical & Materials&EEE), Advanced Solid Mechanics, Power Generation Systems, Sustainability and Environmental Assessment, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Business Leadership for Engineers, Simulation Based Product Design, Metallurgy and Alloy Design.
