Course summary

We designed our four-year MMath degree programme for those who want to follow careers in industry or research.

You'll learn about more topics in depth, and even approach the cutting edge of research in your final year of study. On this course, you'll spend your third year at one of our continental European partners. You'll experience different language and cultures, preparing you for international careers.

A level - AAA - AAB

Essential Subjects: Mathematics (or equivalent) at grade A is essential for AAA offer. PLUS Further Mathematics (A Level or AS Level) at grade A is essential for AAB offer.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD

We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. A Level in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification) at grade A is essential.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 36 points

With 6 in Higher Level Mathematics.

WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales - A - B

We will consider this qualification alongside or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications, as equivalent to one A Level.

Extended Project - B

If you achieve B or higher in the EPQ, you may be eligible for an alternative offer up to one A level grade (or equivalent) below our typical offer.

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DDD

We consider a range of OCR qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. A Level in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification) at grade A is essential.

T Level

We consider a range of T Level qualifications, in combination with an A Level in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification). Please contact us to discuss your qualifications.

Additional entry requirements

Interview
We may offer you an interview if you present with a strong school performance and application. The interview is not part of your offer and you do not need to attend, but if you do, your offer could be reduced by one A level grade (or equivalent).
