The BSc Politics and Law will enable you to study politics and law in equal measure to gain a thorough understanding of the manifold ways in which political processes and legal systems interact. The legal skills that you acquire alongside the study of politics will ensure you have skills and competencies that are highly valued by employers. As well as tackling case studies, you will discuss current issues in political life and debate key theories developing your presentation, team working, communication and problem-solving skills. You will thrive in our strong, close-knit community with an unrivalled commitment to excellence in teaching and a curriculum designed to support your learning at every stage. You will 'learn by doing' from your first week at university as you tackle real world problems using both your subjects, including immersive learning events. We help prepare you for your future career by embedding transferrable skills across the programme, co-creating your learning experience with law firms, parliament, local government, NGOs, and non-profit organisations. Please note that this programme does not cover all the Foundations of Legal Knowledge.
The following entry points are available for this course:
Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 24 L3 credits at Distinction Grade and 21 L3 credits at Merit Grade. Please also see our GCSE requirements.
Applicants will be considered with IB 34/32 OR 665/655 in three Higher Level subjects.
