Our BA Geography degree explores key societal, economic and environmental challenges. It encourages you to engage with, explore and understand the world.
Our teaching is informed by the research of our world-leading academics and spans the breadth of the discipline.
You can tailor your degree to your interests and won't need to decide between human and physical geography to apply.
This enables you to become a specialist in your chosen field or to continue to study a broad range of geographical subjects (both human and physical).
You can select from a large number of Geography modules. These range from Glacial Environments, and Global Environmental Change, to Geopolitics, and Local and Regional Development.
The following entry points are available for this course:
ABB excluding General Studies. GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade C or 4) is also required.
This course accepts T Levels on a case by case basis.
AABBB at Higher Grade and preferably Mathematics. Mathematics required at National 5, minimum grade C (or Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade.
Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
30 level 3 credits at Distinction and 15 level 3 at Merit. At least 15 level 3 credits in a geographical-based subject are required. GCSE Maths grade C or 4 or Pass in level 2 maths in Access Diploma required.
We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
32 points. Standard Level Mathematics or Mathematical Studies required at grade 4 if not offered at Higher Level.
If not studying a full IB Diploma - Grades 6, 5, 5 at Higher Level and completion of a national high school diploma.
Applicants will be considered on an individual basis.
H1H2H2H3H3 at Higher Level. Mathematics at Higher Level is desirable.
D3 M2 M2 in Principal Subjects. GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade C or 4) is also required.
