Course summary

This one-year Top-Up course is designed for performers who have already developed skills in musical theatre and are ready to refine their abilities and prepare for professional performance.

Building on your existing training in singing, acting, and dance, you will develop your performance technique and explore a range of styles within musical theatre. You will work collaboratively as part of a performance company, gaining experience of rehearsal and production processes that reflect industry practice.

A central feature of the course is participation in a full-scale musical theatre production, allowing you to apply your skills in a live performance setting. Alongside this, you will create a professional showcase that highlights your strengths as a performer and prepares you for auditions and casting opportunities.

You will also develop a professional portfolio and undertake an independent research project linked to your interests within performance or the wider creative industries.

By the end of the course, you will be prepared to progress into professional musical theatre environments with confidence and a strong sense of your artistic identity.
