Year 1
You’ll explore the fundamentals of animation, including storytelling, visual design, and digital and analogue techniques. You’ll also develop creative and professional skills, such as collaboration, research and use of specialist software.

Optional placement year

You’ll produce a large, independent animation project, bringing together all your technical and creative skills. Supported by professional practice modules, your work will be showcased to industry professionals and peers in our Graduate Exhibition.

Your portfolio of work is the most important part of your application for this course. It’s not just about finished work, this is your opportunity to show us your thinking, ideas and abilities. We will assess it alongside your UCAS application.
Pass with 60 credits overall. At least 45 credits at Level 3, with 24 credits at merit or above.
Must include at least three subjects at Higher Level.
